Belakangan muncul beberapa situs surging film yang mengatasnamakan IndoXXI. Padahal, situs web itu sudah tutup per setahun ini. Kementerian Komunikasi serta Informatika (Kominfo) pun menyatakan siap memblokir platform-platform ilegal itu. IndoXXI resmi menutup layanannya mulai 2020.
